RE: INVITATION TO THE INAUGURAL KING MUTEESA 1 MEMORIAL EAST AFRICA UNIVERSITY FEMALE GAMES 6TH -7TH APRIL 2012
Makerere University shall host to the 1st East Africa University Female Games, from the 6th to 7th April 2012. These games are aimed at promoting and celebrating women involvement in University sports (Especially those marginalized sports) in line with commemorating the efforts of the late King MUTEESA I who, through his leadership invited the British to introduce education in Uganda. The games shall be organized, run and officiated by women in a bid to promote more women in all sectors of sports. Each university shall have one female head of delegation. Competitions shall begin on Friday 6th and end on 7th April 2012. Below are the sports disciplines and quotas scheduled for each university expected to attend this inaugural edition.
Players
Team Manager 1 in each team
Coach 1 in each team
Referee 1 in each team
1. Netball players 5
2. Soccer players 14
3. Handball players 12
4. Chess players 18
5. Tennis
East Africa University Sports Federation shall cover organizational expenses and participation fees. You are therefore requested to finance the welfare of your players and delegation. Please confirm your participation in this event by the Friday 30th March 2012 to the organizing committee to enable us make final preparations.
